Dear Families, Friends, and Alumni of CCS,
Psalm 11:3 states, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
To put it simply, rebuild the foundations!
By God’s grace, we have been busy rebuilding foundations since the fall of 1992. The Lord has been very gracious to us these past 16 years and we are beginning to see the first fruits of our labor.
When a student has made some great breakthrough or we have made a great stride forward in a certain area, I frequently think to myself or say to the staff, “How do you package that and show people what the Lord just did for us?!” We are so convinced that the Lord is doing a powerful work in our midst that we want to shout it from the rooftops so people can see what a blessing this school is to so many families. We look forward to expanding our work so that we can help disciple many more students to the glory of God.
This website is dedicated, therefore, to letting you know about some of these success stories and what the Lord is doing in our midst so that you can be a part of the “Building for the Future” process. You can be a part of this team by doing one or more of the following five things: pray, designate, advertise, recruit, or donate (click on each item to the right for details).
The school, I believe, is on the cusp of experiencing a number of significant breakthroughs that will not be possible unless we get the support of many people in one or more of these five areas.
First, we are very close to finalizing a new location for our school that will give us the ability to grow. Click on the “Building: Short Term” button under the “Ways to Get Involved” section below for details.
Second, we recently moved our school to a new web-based school management system, allowing our parents to have instant and up to date access to their child’s homework and grades. Starting this spring, for the 08-09 school year, tuition and invoicing information will also be available for parents to access.
Third, we have been beta testing a new on-line education program that we are getting ready to market on the Internet. Lord willing, this program will literally have a worldwide impact truly a significant step in the discipling of the nations. (See article in the Winter 2008 edition of Nikao). Fourth, a tremendous opportunity has opened up for us to expedite the accreditation of our school.
Fifth, we have been experiencing an internal growth and maturity in our school that is producing greater academic excellence.
Sixth, a very easy and painless way for CCS families and friends to raise money by designating the school as a recipient of rewards or e-script dollars every time you use your registered debit or credit card. We have the potential to raise over $150,000/year with this alone! Please click on the “Designate” button under the “5 Things You Can Do” section.
Seventh, our current students and alumni are getting increasingly involved in leadership positions and making a difference in the culture. Click on the “Leadership” button below for details.
Eighth, we have the potential to enroll several more students from highly committed and like-minded families, if we are able to provide the additional scholarship and financial aid money this would take. Having the additional revenue for the school would enable us to increase our program quality and offerings as well as produce many more servants and leaders to help in rebuilding the foundations in our culture. Lastly, we have rounded out our program through the addition of key new staff members…expert builders!
All of these factors (and more) are positioning us for incredible internal and external growth and excellence that should move our school into a new phase of maturity, one in which we hope to be a model school, a school of influence.
