PRINCIPLES OF GIVING
Though Cornerstone Christian School requires money to maintain and grow its programs, you will find that our fundraising efforts are rooted in a philosophy that honors the giver and our Lord who ultimately directs how and to whom each person gives. To that end, Cornerstone Christian School has adopted the following “Principles of Giving” to guide our fundraising efforts and to help you understand your potential involvement with us or other charities that you may choose to support:
- We believe that all giving should be God-directed. Though we have a biblical mandate to give, how and to whom we give should be subordinated to God’s will for our individual lives, and we should be the unique expression of God’s love through us to a hurting world.
- We believe that giving is an integral part of individual and corporate worship. Because of this, we believe you should manage any gifts you give in a manner that will help you to fulfill God's unique calling for your life.
- We believe that God has called all believers to support those organizations that best represent the ministry or burden of the believer. In this respect, the organization that receives the gifts should be the visible expression of the believer’s ministry and worship, not an organization that merely looks for others to underwrite its charitable work.
- We believe our responsibility is to help you discover God’s unique plan of giving and ministry for your life and to explore if this plan might include Cornerstone Christian School. If not, we believe it is our responsibility to connect you with other charitable organizations that might be the better expression of God’s work in and through you.
- We believe that if Cornerstone Christian School is the visible expression of your ministry to educate, develop, and prepare children to be ambassadors for Christ, that your gifts will be honored and managed in a way that will help you fulfill God’s unique plan of giving for your life.
