CCS Principles of Giving

PRINCIPLES OF GIVING

Though Cornerstone Christian School requires money to maintain and grow its programs, you will find that our fundraising efforts are rooted in a philosophy that honors the giver and our Lord who ultimately directs how and to whom each person gives.  To that end, Cornerstone Christian School has adopted the following “Principles of Giving” to guide our fundraising efforts and to help you understand your potential involvement with us or other charities that you may choose to support:

  1. We believe that all giving should be God-directed.  Though we have a biblical mandate to give, how and to whom we give should be subordinated to God’s will for our individual lives, and we should be the unique expression of God’s love through us to a hurting world.

Note from the Headmaster

Dear Families, Friends, and Alumni of CCS,

Psalm 11:3 states, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
To put it simply, rebuild the foundations!

By God’s grace, we have been busy rebuilding foundations since the fall of 1992. The Lord has been very gracious to us these past 16 years and we are beginning to see the first fruits of our labor.

What Do You Care About?

Can God’s plan for your giving be fulfilled through Cornerstone Christian School?  The following questions may help you discover the answer to this question:

  1. Do you have a heart for children?
  2. Are you concerned about the loss of critical thinking skills so evident in today’s culture?
  3. Do you believe that one of greatest challenges we face will be how we prepare our children for the moral, spiritual, and political issues of tomorrow?
  4. Do you believe in the importance of training our children to assume roles of leadership and influence for Christ during their lifetimes?

Building: Short Term
Since January of 2008, Cornerstone has been in serious lease negotiations with Sylvan Oaks Christian Church.  SOCC wants CCS to move to their campus.  Until recently we were making plans and had every expectation to move the school the middle of June. Events beyond our control...

Building: Long Term
Our five to ten year goal is to have our own campus on 10-25 acres of land in the Roseville area.  Ideally, we would like to have the land secured in the next five years so we can start the building process.

More importantly than the land and building is having...
